Large School Girls

Olivia Whitaker settled into her groove nicely. Whitaker posted a 12.48 for a win in the 100, then followed it up later in the day with a 57.48 winner in the 400, just barely ahead of teammate Jaelyn Wilson. If you're not seeing Wilson as a 4A threat in the 400, you should use your vision coverage for something and schedule a check-up.

Douglas County's Jasmyne Cooper stunned the 1600 field, Isabella Prosceno in particular, with a huge come-from-behind final lap to take the win in 5:07.48. Air Academy's Tatum Miller was the lone person standing between Hannah Ellis (see small-school girls summary) and a win in the 3200. Miller's time? 11:02.30.

Lily Acosta's 46.71 was easily the best 300 hurdles mark of the afternoon.

Fountain-Fort Carson dominated every relay but the 4x400.

Pueblo West freshman Shayla Padilla got an inch of PR to go with her 5-4 winner in the high jump. Scoring more than 12 feet of PR was Fountain-Fort Carson sophomore Kierra Nash. Nash won the discus at 123-5
