Due to the Fulton Invitational being cancelled this year, we are offering a virtual meet that day for those teams that were planning on attending (or any other team that may want to participate). We encourage teams to participate in this free opportunity if they need a meet that day! Additional information below. Kirksville Invitational - Virtual Meet Date: Saturday, September 19th, 2020 Rules 1. In order to make the experience equal for all teams, races are to be run on a standard track (no spikes). Runners must remain on the track at all times during the race (no running on the interior grass/turf). 2. There will be 6 divisions - Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity, Boys Junior Varsity, Girls Junior Varsity, Boys Middle School, Girls Middle School. 3. Only 7 runners may be entered in the Varsity races. JV and MS races have unlimited entries. [b]Rosters must be submitted by 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15th.[/b] Entries will be made public on or before Friday, September 18th. 4. The 6 races can be conducted all at once, by gender, by level, or separately. Individual races can also have staggered starts if social distancing is a concern. As long as accurate time is kept for each runner, race order/combining races will not be a factor. 5. [b]The race must take place on the morning of September 19th.[/b] 6. Varsity and JV athletes will complete 12 consecutive laps (3 miles) and their time recorded via stopwatch or timing system to the nearest second. MS runners will complete 8 consecutive laps (2 miles). 7. [b]Results must be submitted no later than 2:00 PM on the day of the race.[/b] Race results will be emailed to coaches and posted no later than 8:00 PM the evening of the 19th. 8. Honesty and integrity is expected from all teams! Team Registration 1. @11655111 While it stinks those kids lost out on a meet, thank you for thinking outside-the-box to still give those kids an opportunity to race. Such a strange year, but we will all have to show some flexibility and resilience as we navigate through this season. Best of wishes to everyone this season,

It is really going back to the box as national postal competitions started in 1958 - I think through Track & Field News - and continued through the 80s. In the 1983 Missouri HS Track & CC booklet done by Dave Harris, then at Jeff City but now at Nebraska, listed Hazelwood East and Central, both McCluer schools, Francis Howell, Jeff City, Ladue, Kirkwood,Prep North, Riverview Gardens, Rolla JH and KC Southwest.
It is really going back to the box as national postal competitions started in 1958 - I think through Track & Field News - and continued through the 80s.
