#4 Carmel (IN) won going away in the Nike Midwest Regional with 66 points and #12 Naperville North (IL) finished 2nd with 125 points. Also, shocker in NY as Saratoga Springs narrowly goes down.
Just days after Mary Cain announced she will run professionally through her college years, another high school phenom announced her college decision on Monday night. Simi Valley senior Sarah Baxter has decided to attend the University of Oregon in the fall of 2014. Baxter has two Nike Cross-Country National championship titles to her name and is currently the top ranked senior on the Saucony Elite 50 list, which ranks the top 25 male and female individuals in high school. Baxter made her decision on Friday, but held off on the announcement to inform other schools that showed interest in her.... (via FloTrack)

Taylor Werner, Evan Stifel win NXN Midwest! Efraimson and Anderson dominate NXN Northwest. Gig Harbor (WA), Bozeman (MT) win team titles. Also NJ, MA, VA State Champs and NY Feds.
#19 Edina (MN) makes it into the rankings after they took out #22 Wayzata (MN) 106 to 135 at the Nike Heartland Regional as both squads will make it to nationals.
Quietly in the top-10 for a few weeks, Blacksburg (VA) looks poised for big things this weekend at the VA state champs.
