State Through the Lens of Jeff McCoy: Field Events

The photos below are a collection, from literally thousands of images, of Colorado Track XC photographer Jeff McCoy's favorite pictures from the state meet.

Note: Captioning by Alan Versaw (which would mean please ream me out, and not Jeff McCoy for any errors).

This would not be the angle I'm most familiar with, but I think this would be David Krumland.

Even with a little rain falling, Ty Van Oort proved to be one of the best shot putters in the state.

Not everything goes as planned in the pole vault.

This is a little more the way it's supposed to look...

And this is the look of the winner!

Laquan Johnson gets some air.

and comes back down to earth again.

Monica Franco over the bar.

And Carly Paul over the bar.

Carly Paul gets over the bar a lot for a freshman...

But Kelsey English, the senior, won the batte--too bad she's going to college on a volleyball scholarship.

Trevor Evanson wins the 4A high jump at a very familiar venue.

Winding up in the discus arena (Is that really a rubber disc at the state meet? I'm about to start a thread for a collection for the equipment needs of the Sedgwick County throwing program.) ...

Fountain-Fort Carson had three scoring triple jumpers and I have to tell you I don't know which of the three this is, but three scoring triple jumpers in 5A is a feat worth saluting.

JT Van Veen launches another one.

Trevon Lewis keeps an eye on the trajectory.

Andrew Dubiel launches the big one... and then does a little celebrating.

The sign in the background tells you Ethan Browning's story.
