Korbin Martino re-wrote the WATTS facility record book on Saturday afternoon during 400m competition at the YSU High School Open Meet #3.
Martino, a junior from Canal Winchester, established a new best mark for high school boys with his 49.14 winning effort in Section 1.
The clocking usurps Ryan Thrush's 49.28 showing during the 2017 campaign. Martino owns a 2020 season's best time of 48.41 and has collected victories in 3 of his 4 starts at the quarter-mile distance.
