Rebecca Story Rocks 3200 At Hoka One One Postal Nationals

If this was a tune up for Foot Locker Nationals, Rebecca Story certainly made a statement on Friday.

With the Foot Locker National South Region arriving on Nov. 25 for the Christian Academy of Knoxville (TN) senior, Story laid down a phenomenal effort on the track at 3200m during a Hoka One One Postal Nationals event at Hardin Valley Academy, posting her fastest effort on record and only her second dip under 10 minutes with a time of 9:59.80.

Only three girls broke 10 minutes on the track at 3200m last spring -- Claudia Lane, Brie Oakley and Kelsey Chmiel -- and only 12 girls have now done so since 2010.

Story, a Stanford signee who was third at Foot Locker Nationals in 2016, hasn't even transitioned out of cross country yet, either, which means we could see a phenomenal few races in the next few weeks out of the runner -- not to mention a fantastic spring, too.

Boys Race

Henry County (TN) High senior Titus Winders just missed breaking 9-minutes in the boys field, finishing in a winning time of 9:01.55. Winters, who hasn't lost in seven races in 2017, won his first state cross country title in November and will vie for a Foot Locker Nationals placement in November as well.
